What do you want to do after school?
Well, I want to write. Write for anyone and anything about whatever I can. I use this site as an outlet to spill my thoughts and ideas to and allow readers to get what they can out of it. So that they can interpret the content on my site anyway they wish.
It really drives me crazy when I discuss my passion and other people claim that they can’t write. Maybe your life is just too chaotic but I think that everyone should take time to sit down and write down their thoughts once in a while. My passion allows me to be less stressful, more creative, learn more words every so often and continuously build on a skill that I never knew I had. If anyone contains some kind of talent or skill, it can certainly be put to work.
A lot of people informed me a few years ago that there wouldn’t be jobs in the Journalism field because of the decline in newspaper but I don’t see it that way. I believe that if somebody has a task that they are good at, then there is always another task waiting to be complete. If someone is educated to be a doctor, they will almost always have a job because people always get injured and there is a need for that. People also want entertainment, which comes from scripts, speech’s, dialogues, etc. There are several kinds of Journalist all working with certain kind of people and in all different fields. I have to have some kind of hope for my future.
I just wished that some people would see writing as more than just a burden for and English course. It’s much more than that. This practice gives you the freedom to release streams of thought. It never has to be published. It could only be seen by your eyes. The same goes for drawing. There are so many different ways to create art as there is for writing styles. I know people say that they can’t draw but I believe that if anyone sits down with a pencil and starts to create shapes and lines and squiggles, they will eventually have a masterpiece in their own eyes. That’s just how I see it.
It’s important to love what you do in live in order to be happy and healthy. If you dread every moment of every day then i’m sure you’re social skills are down the drain because I wouldn’t even want to be around you. I also hope that everyone has the opportunity to experience new places and people. It’s an amazing experience to be put in a place where things are not what you’re used to. Even after school you should always be learning. Push yourself to learn and then love what you learn; and then take what you learned and put it on paper. Tell a story. It’s really that easy.
Don’t let others influence you to think you’re dreams will not happen. When people told me that there were no jobs available for Journalism, I did the work and talked to some actual Journalists to get the facts straight. I never gave up and never even contemplation and alternative activity. If you want something so bad then you will have to work for it. Once the work has started, you’ll start to learn and live through wonderful times. All with some creativity.
Speaking of creativeness, I recently read a book titled Looking For Alaska by John Green and it was absolutely fantastic. It is the second one I have read of his collection and I will never stop being impressed. On a general aspect, I’ve come to the conclusion that a majority of one person’s creativity can come from reading other stories. That’s obvious. It can be used as inspiration, motivation to write and possibly used as multiple references. I just find it to be so comfortable to be able to sit down and slowly travel through pages of an adventure that came from someone else’s thoughts in which you feel such a part of. That’s when it is incredibly difficult to pause the act and continue on with reality.
All of these activities are a motion of arts. Drawing, writing and reading can be used as a stress reliever, form of entertainment or a daily routine. I wish that if I could take part in a piece of all three of them each day then I would be a much more content person. Take this as a suggestion or simple brush it off and claim that you are incapable of all three. Just know that something will have been gained from each and every action.
