In recent times I have adopted a view on things that I’ve never really pondered much on. Usually, in regards to most occasions, just because the surface appears clean and clear, doesn’t necessarily mean that the inside is nice and tidy. People stroll along through their lives with their backs turned, eyes closed, and ears muffled. It’s as if a hurricane came through and didn’t touch them. Humans, animals, houses, and other subjects have character. My way of looking at a background is that it remains silently planted as you continuously come and go. That house up on the hill that you truly never analyzed, is simply gorgeous in its own way, and it’s always been there, stood tall as it observed your nightly cruise home from work. Everyone is a character of their own. Some may not agree with others aspects of that character, and that’s when situations are mistaken, moods are confused and lost.
I always believed that it was something unique if a person had the courage to express their own opinions. I sense a lick of strength and power in them. In picturesque terms, if you can strut your stuff as if it smells like roses day in and day out, then who would bother to cross your path? Words and phrases soar through the air regardless of an announcers mood, but why should any of that make a difference to your lifestyle, thoughts, or dreams? It shouldn’t.
Your character should be considered your conscious, a better you and a constant reminder of who you are, what you should be, and what you stand for.
Those houses have never judged you. You can only judge it, but not until you absolutely acknowledge it and understand its side of the story, of course. Some people are silent observers and others speak their mind freely. The problem is, is that those free words pinch with a sting..
It’s not always awful to bashfully observe a situation, in my eyes, because then maybe those judgements from before will transform to just a possibility or a what if statement. You don’t know what that house has lived through, especially if you’re just noticing it now, so how dare you open your mouth in disgust. Labels bong to tangible items, not an untold personality. Play nice and think twice.
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes destiny.”
