Could I have more water please?

I’m gonna go for seconds.

I need more friends.

There needs to be more time in the day.

I want more out of life.

gratitude

We are all victims of wishing and hoping for an extra amount of what we already have. Guys have girls, but cheat on them with someone else, just to get the same thing, with a different face. People make a decision, time passes and then they become unhappy and want more, more of something else or more of the same thing.

We can never settle. Whether it’s choosing what we want for breakfast or to speed up at the yellow light. Serious or simple, we’re faced with a different situation every single day.

So, once an option is given, the question for more is brought up..”If I speed through this yellow light, will I make it to work quicker?”

Making this decision the proper way will give me more of what I want… okay.

But, where does it stop? Nowhere. As human beings, we are always waiting for something else to happen, and always expecting something more. We have that urge and expectancy.

Or, did society challenge us to be this way?

Why is it so hard to accept what we have and keep things consistent? What has made us act and behave this way?

Let me switch gears.

You’re upset and frustrated and just want to be left alone. You fight and fight until you get your way. Now, you’re alone. For days and weeks on end. Running through your daily routine, by yourself. There’s plenty of time to think and think and perform the way you’d always wished for.

And then it gets old. The silence is no longer comforting and you desire more. You reach for it, for someone.

It takes mistakes and negative occurrences to make a person realize what they are capable of losing. As an individual it is impossible to predict  a future happening that would actually follow through properly. What I mean is… in order to understand what you really need, you must go through the wrong first. Everyone does. Unless there are other ways to learn in which I haven’t discovered yet for myself. It’s healthy to learn from your mistakes to help prevent the same action in the future, as well as to warn others the same from your own experience(s).

It’s time, anytime, to begin thinking about others who don’t have the opportunity to have choices. We are grateful enough (id hope so) to have what we have. Why act selfish and arrogant about this life when we should be happy and joyful? It may seem like such a simple concept, but when you work in an environment where you have to speak to a lot of different people, you come to realize that there are rude, mean, happy, sad, shy and all kinds of different individuals out there.

FOR EXAMPLE: I’ve worked at a gym for two and a half years and since then the company has been in the process of expanding and completely redoing the facility. Finally part 1 of 2 phases has opened up and barely anyone is happy with the changes.

I can understand that not everyone accepts change as well as the next person, but after complaining for over five years or so about a renovation, then getting half of it, you’re still not happy?! All of this seriously irks me. How many people in this world make enough money to have a gym membership in the first place? Probably not so much. Then, you go and rant about how the facility is cramped and there’s not enough equipment to your liking…

embrace_life

People are never satisfied. I don’t care what form of behavior they are engaged in, there will never be gratification.

I love the colors… but……

I love your hair… but……

I love this car… but….

I’m going to put it right out there…. BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE. Stop blaming everyone/everything for your unhappiness. Chances are, if someone continuously makes a comment about something, there is an internal issue within themselves that needs to be tended to. And, if your issues involve multiple beings, make sure you include them in your confrontation and not a person who is completely irrelevant.

Quick snaps:

Be happy, joyful, grateful, polite, kind and helpful. Do not take your anger out on someone else. Stand up to your demons as soon as they appear, because [[they wont disappear]].

Today I heard a story at my job. A woman came up to the desk to ask for  a rubber band. The associate was not sure of the location of rubber bands so she offered her, her own hair tie to the customer. The woman replied with a smile and a gracious thank you for giving up a personal object to her. The associate didn’t think anything of it to make up for her unawareness and the customer acted as if someone bought her the world. It’s just the little things. That woman could have been having a horrible day and just by receiving a hair tie, everything was made up and better in her eyes.

Those kinds of people appreciate life.

Take care of the life you’re living.
